I had a portfolio review with two people from a Leeds based design studio Robot Food, this was very useful, they gave me some useful feedback on my work that I am definitely going to take forward. I have decided to make a lot of changes within my portfolio now, take certain projects out and edit others and make some more moc ups.
They loved Printgram, however they would of liked to have seen the real thing.
This is a second year piece that I was unsure whether to put in my portfolio or not, after explaining the concept behind the coffee campaign they said my concept didn't really go with the images displayed. The brief was to get the younger audience more involved in Taylors Coffee so we created a coffee for each time of day, morning, daytime and night. The jar is a piece that is kept by the consumer and refilled. The mock ups I have for the packets aren't very good quality as the overall artwork is a actually very small.
After feedback I have decided to remove this project from my portfolio as it is old work, the mock ups aren't great and I would rather put more time into other projects, I do really like this project and it will remain on my website.
They really liked Vital, they said it felt very clean, however they did want to see imagery of the clothing to get a feel for the brand. Unfortunately I have no images of the clothing as the girl I did it for hasn't provided me with any however I am going to find some appropriate photography to mock it up with instead.
This was a competition brief that I did for YCN Fedrigoni to promote their new retail space. Robot Food really liked this and said it felt vintage with the use of colour. The one negative thing they did say was the newspaper advert didn't really fit in with the feel of the rest of the campaign.
I am the graphic designer for the Cheese Society, I wanted to put this in my portfolio as it is a fun piece, within my portfolio will be images from the final event 'The cheese ball' all photos wont be taken till the event on the 31st May so there want much to show them but they seemed to like it.
One thing they told me to change about this page in my portfolio is that it feels like the images are been repeated too many times, they want to see more how the branding can work inside the uni with the confetti over the floor a mock up that I need to include.
They gave my really positive feedback on Bootees from only seeing two images, I explained the rest of the brand and they liked the idea, the photos haven't been taken yet so this is something I am going to update in my portfolio.
I explained how I was going to expand on this logo design for Glastonbury's 'don't pee' campaign. They like the logo I created but didn't see the need to expand it. I think I am going to take this project out of my portfolio.
There is no imagery of Puds, they loved the idea and told me to send it them when its done.
There wasn't much feedback given for Breathe Magazine however this is a project that is still getting printed and will definitely be featured within my portfolio.
